NEDA Announces New Board Members

Atlanta, GA -- The National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) is honored to announce its 2007-2009 Board of Directors. Past President Phil Gallagher of Avnet passed the gavel to Frank Flynn, Sager Electronics. Brian McNally, Arrow Electronics, is president-elect. Distributor Directors include: David Bowers, Nu Horizons Electronics; Lee Davidson. Allied Electronics, Inc.; Perry Fox, Tonar Industries, Inc.; Al Frugaletti, Rochester Electronics; Mark Larson, Digi-Key Corporation; Eric Max, The Genie Group; Glenn Smith, Mouser Electronics; Diane Sweeney, Newark Electronics; and Walter Tobin, Future Electronics. Manufacturer Directors include: Cindy Habick, NTE Electronics Inc.; Jim Sandrolini, Intel Corporation and Eric Sussman, Molex, Inc.

The NEDA Education Foundation will be led by President Michael Knight, TTI, Inc. Its Distributor Directors include Gan Arnold, Brothers Electronics; James Banovich, Marsh Electronics; David Doherty, Arrow Electronics; Todd Farnsworth, Carlton-Bates Company; and Edward Smith, Avnet, Inc. Manufacturer Directors include Thomas Dalton, Honeywell Sensing & Control; John Denslinger, Murata Electronics; Carla Mahrt, Tyco Electronics; Scott McClendon, Phoenix Contact; Jeff Newell, Texas Instruments; Frank Robertazzi, Avago Technologies; and Jeffery Thomson, On Semiconductor. The Foundation’s Faculty Representatives are Dr. Edie Schmidt, Purdue University and Dr. Richard Meznarich, University of Nebraska – Kearney.

At its recent Board of Directors meeting, NEDA also honored the retiring members from both boards: Jim Bruorton, KEMET; Dave Herring, Projections Unlimited; Greg Mefford, Vishay Intertechnology; Kip Poncher, Hawk Electronics and George Papajohn, Arrow Electronics. Special mention was made of Dave Herring’s 16-year tenure on the NEDA boards, starting as a Southern California chapter representative.

NEDA is a not-for-profit trade association representing supplier authorized distributors of electronic components and their manufacturer-suppliers. Dedicated to enhancing the authorized distributor-manufacturer relationship, NEDA represents companies involved in the distribution of electronic components, computers and computer peripheral components and test, measurement and control equipment parts.
