Education Foundation
About the Foundation
The Education Foundation is the education arm of the Electronic Components Industry Association, a not-for-profit trade association representing manufacturer suppliers, distributors and manufacturer sales representatives of electronic components.
Started in 1984 as part of NEDA(National Electronic Distributors Association) the NEDA Education Foundation has worked to attract new talent into the electronic distribution industry and provide training materials to help industry members enhance their skills. The Foundation partners with leading universities to expose students to theory and research that will intellectually position them to apply leading edge concepts to our increasingly complex industry. The Foundation works in conjunction with colleges and universities to promote industrial distribution degree programs and careers within the industry.

Project Host
The Project Host program partners industrial and electronic distribution students and their faculty with NEDA member hosts during EDS - the industry's largest trade show and at the NEDA Executive Conference. Students gain insight and experience vital to our industry, while host companies meet prospective employees and develop relationships with the universities. 2010 Research Competition - WINNERS SELECTED!
With over 30 student teams participating from 7 universities, the competition was fierce for the 2010 Research Competition. Congratulations to the team of Sagar Bathija, Mike Butler, Hanh Nguyen and Ben Wertz from Texas Christian University for their excellent research on the Kindle's e-paper component. Dr. Laura Meade's class submitted 16 different papers in the competition. In addition to the teams from TCU, other university participants included Central Connecticut State University, Purdue University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M University, University of Houston and the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

NEDA Education Foundation facilitates internship opportunities by interfacing with universities to match their students with our member companies who have internship positions.
To assist industry members enhance their professional development, the Foundation offers a complete library of publications. We also offer an excellent line-up of seminars to aid with continuing education.
In addition, the Foundation provides a resume bank of students seeking internships or full time employment.
